Chapter 261 — People’s Utility Districts
ORS 261.225 State agencies and private utilities to provide new district certain information
The State Department of Energy, the Public Utility Commission of Oregon and any privately owned utility serving the affected territory shall cooperate in providing information and data as requested by a people’s utility district for construction or acquisition of the initial utility system.
As requested, the State Department of Energy and the Public Utility Commission of Oregon shall provide copies of records on file pertinent to the operation of a utility system.
As requested, the privately owned utility serving the affected territory shall provide data and records regarding the affected territory including:
Peak load and monthly variations of load required to serve the territory;
Load requirements of various classifications of users;
Gross revenue;
Distribution costs, including operation, maintenance and debt retirement;
Inventory of assets by type and value;
List of customers with customer addresses;
Amount of money loaned to each customer for conservation activity; and
Replacement value of an investor owned utility’s unreimbursed investment in energy efficiency measures and installations within the territory.
