Chapter 366 — State Highways and State Highway Fund
ORS 366.907 Findings and declarations concerning Highway 101
The Legislative Assembly finds and declares that:
Highway 101, the coast highway providing the only access to the whole western length of this state, is of economic, recreational, scenic, social and historic importance to the people of the state.
There are many agencies and municipalities with particular regulatory or program interests in Highway 101 and the area it controls, but there is no comprehensive management plan or process to insure that state interests are protected and promoted.
It is important that the State of Oregon develop and maintain a program of management to promote and insure coordinated management of Highway 101 as a whole.
