Chapter 396 — Militia Generally
ORS 396.332 Authority of Oregon Military Department to require fingerprints for criminal records check
For the purpose of requesting a state or nationwide criminal records check under ORS 181A.195, the Oregon Military Department may require the fingerprints of:
A person who is applying for or is employed in a position in a job category for which a state or nationwide criminal records check is a job qualifier and in which personnel:
Are assigned to the at-risk youth alternative education program;
Are issued firearms and munitions;
Have fiscal and purchasing responsibilities as their primary responsibilities; or
Have regular access to restricted areas within a military installation.
A person who is applying to join the organized militia of this state, as described in ORS 396.105, or is a member of the organized militia of this state.
