Chapter 497 — Licenses, Tags and Permits
ORS 497.312 Special restrictions on holding coyotes
Any rules promulgated by the State Fish and Wildlife Commission pursuant to ORS 497.308 that authorize the acquisition and holding in captivity of a coyote must require, among other matters:
That the holder of the permit obtain for the animal rabies inoculations;
That the animal must at all times wear an identification tag issued by the commission;
That the holder of the permit notify the commission upon the death or the sale, transfer, removal from the state or other disposition of the animal;
That the holder of the permit not abandon the animal; and
That the holder of the permit cause the animal to be neutered.
The holder of any permit referred to in subsection (1) of this section shall at all times be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the commission that the holder has physical custody of the animal or evidence of the death or other disposition of the animal in compliance with the provisions of this section and ORS 497.308.
