Chapter 526 — Forestry Administration
ORS 526.465 Purpose of ORS 526.450 to 526.475
Providing the forest owner with tax relief during the timber growth period.
Promoting programs that provide forest credit on young stands and encourage harvesting of mature forest crops.
Promoting the establishment of new forest crops on cutover, denuded or underproductive privately owned forestlands.
Protecting the public interest by assuring that the citizens of the state and future generations shall have the benefits to be derived from the continuous production of forest products from the private forestlands of Oregon, including jobs, taxes, water, erosion control and habitat for wild game.
