ORS 55.170 Filing and serving notice of appeal
The appellant shall:
File written notice of appeal with the justice court from which the appeal is taken with proof of service of a copy on the adverse party, or an acknowledgment of service signed by the adverse party; and
Serve a copy of the notice of appeal on the adverse party or, if the adverse party is represented by an attorney, the party’s attorney.
In a case charging a misdemeanor or a violation, if the defendant is the appellant:
The defendant shall serve the county attorney if the case has been brought in the county’s name and the defendant did not serve the county attorney under subsection (1) of this section.
The defendant shall serve the district attorney if the case has been brought in the state’s name and the defendant did not serve the district attorney under subsection (1) of this section.
