ORS 672.109 Temporary permit to practice engineering; fee
Upon payment of the required fee, the State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying may without examination issue a temporary permit to a person to practice engineering in this state for a period not to exceed six months. A temporary permit may only be issued if the person has made application for registration and, in the judgment of the board, has the other necessary qualifications for registration under ORS 672.002 to 672.325.
A temporary permit to practice engineering may be issued only once to a person and may only be issued to a person authorized to practice engineering in another state, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia or a foreign country if the standards for such authorization are equivalent to those in Oregon, as determined by the board.
