Chapter 678 — Nurses; Long Term Care Administrators
ORS 678.733 Residential care facility administrator license; fee
The Health Licensing Office may issue a residential care facility administrator license to an applicant who:
Is at least 21 years of age;
Has earned at least a high school diploma or its equivalent, as indicated by evidence of the following, in a form deemed sufficient by the office:
Completion of high school or an equivalent educational level;
Passage of an approved high school equivalency test, including but not limited to the General Educational Development (GED) test; or
Graduation from a post-secondary institution;
For at least two of the last five years has been employed in a professional or managerial capacity in a health or social service related field, or has a combination of experience and education deemed sufficient by the office; or
Has earned at least a bachelor’s degree in a health or social service related field;
Has completed at least 40 hours of training approved by the office by rule;
Pays a licensure fee; and
Passes an examination described in ORS 678.743.
Evidence of the education described in subsection (1)(b) of this section may be provided by a diploma or other document, or by facts, circumstances or other indicators deemed sufficient by the office.
When issuing a license under this section, the office shall consider the qualifications for employment under ORS 443.004.
