Chapter 686 — Veterinarians; Veterinary Technicians
ORS 686.450 Definitions
“Aggravated animal abuse” means any animal abuse as described in ORS 167.322.
“Aggravated animal abuse” does not include:
Good animal husbandry, as defined in ORS 167.310; or
Any exemption listed in ORS 167.335.
“Law enforcement agency” means:
Any city or municipal police department.
Any county sheriff’s office.
The Oregon State Police.
A law enforcement division of a county or municipal animal control agency that employs sworn officers.
“Veterinarian” means a person licensed to practice veterinary medicine under ORS chapter 686.
Note: 686.450 to 686.465 and 686.990 (3) were enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but were not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 686 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
