Chapter 291 — State Financial Administration
ORS 291.730 Cryptocurrency payments
Unless authorized by the State Treasurer, the state government, as defined in ORS 174.111, may not accept payments using cryptocurrency.
As used in this section, “cryptocurrency” means digital or virtual currency that relies on cryptography to effect transfers and a decentralized network to record transactions.
Note: 291.730 was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 291 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
