Chapter 326 — State Administration of Education
ORS 326.435 Department of Early Learning and Care Fund
The Department of Early Learning and Care Fund is established in the State Treasury, separate and distinct from the General Fund. Interest earned by the Department of Early Learning and Care Fund shall be credited to the fund.
Moneys in the Department of Early Learning and Care Fund consist of:
Amounts donated to the fund;
Moneys transferred to the fund from the federal government, state agencies and local governments;
Amounts appropriated or otherwise transferred to the fund by the Legislative Assembly;
Investment earnings received on moneys in the fund; and
Other amounts deposited in the fund from any source.
Moneys in the fund are continuously appropriated to the Department of Early Learning and Care for the purpose of fulfilling the duties, functions and powers of the Department of Early Learning and Care.
The Department of Early Learning and Care may establish accounts and subaccounts within the fund when the Department of Early Learning and Care determines that accounts or subaccounts are necessary or desirable and may credit any interest or income derived from moneys in the fund to any account or subaccount in the fund.
