Chapter 329 — Oregon Educational Act for the 21st Century; Educational Improvement and Reform
ORS 329.752 Determination of school type for purpose of federal loan forgiveness programs
For the purpose of federal loan forgiveness programs offered to teachers, the type of school where a teacher teaches shall be determined as follows:
The school shall be considered a secondary school if the school offers instruction in:
Grades 6 through 12, or any part thereof; or
Kindergarten through grade 12, or any part thereof, but the teacher is employed for the purpose of teaching any grade from grade 6 through 12.
The school shall be considered an elementary school if the school offers instruction in:
Kindergarten through grade 5, or any part thereof; or
Kindergarten through grade 12, or any part thereof, but the teacher is employed for the purpose of teaching any grade from kindergarten through grade 5.
