Chapter 336 — Conduct of Schools Generally
ORS 336.212 Vision Health Account
The Vision Health Account is established in the State Treasury, separate and distinct from the General Fund. Interest earned by the account shall be credited to the account.
Moneys in the account are continuously appropriated to the Department of Education to make reimbursements for expenses incurred for the provision of vision screenings, as described in ORS 336.211 (5).
The department, on behalf of the State of Oregon, may solicit and accept gifts, grants and donations from public and private sources for the provision of vision screenings. Moneys received under this subsection shall be deposited into the account.
From the moneys appropriated by the Legislative Assembly to the account each biennium, the department may retain no more than a total of 10 percent of the moneys for administrative expenses incurred by the department in making reimbursements.
