Chapter 421 — Department of Corrections Institutions; Compacts
ORS 421.611 Findings
The Legislative Assembly finds that:
There is a serious and urgent need to construct and operate additional correctional facilities in this state to accommodate current and projected prison populations.
Immediate corrections facility planning and siting requires an expedited process. Existing corrections facility siting procedures are inadequate to meet the current and projected need for the siting of additional correctional facilities in this state.
Note: 421.611 to 421.630 were enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but were not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 421 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
