Chapter 453 — Hazardous Substances; Radiation Sources
ORS 453.390 Revolving fund; use
When requested in writing by the State Fire Marshal, the Oregon Department of Administrative Services shall draw a warrant on the State Fire Marshal Fund in favor of the State Fire Marshal for use as a revolving fund. The State Treasurer shall hold the revolving fund in a special account against which the State Fire Marshal may draw checks.
All claims by the State Fire Marshal for reimbursement of advances paid from the revolving fund are subject to approval by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services. When such claims have been approved, a warrant covering them shall be drawn in favor of the State Fire Marshal, charged against the appropriate funds and accounts and used to reimburse the revolving fund.
The State Fire Marshal may disburse moneys from the revolving fund established under subsections (1) to (3) of this section to any local government unable to pay the expenses incurred by a regional hazardous material response team that responds to an emergency within the jurisdiction of the local government or to defray any extraordinary costs of a local response team responding to the emergency.
