Chapter 479 — Protection of Buildings From Fire; Electrical Safety Law

ORS 479.300 Removing or tampering with smoke alarm or smoke detector prohibited

No person shall remove or tamper with a properly functioning smoke alarm or smoke detector installed in conformance with ORS 479.250 to 479.305. This prohibition includes removal of working batteries.
