ORS 688.015 Findings and purpose

(1)

The Legislative Assembly finds and declares that providing for state administrative control, supervision, licensure and regulation of the practice of physical therapy in this state serves the purpose of protecting the public health, safety and welfare.

(2)

It is the intent of the Legislative Assembly that only individuals who meet and maintain prescribed standards of competence may engage in the practice of physical therapy as authorized by ORS 688.010 to 688.201 and implemented by the Oregon Board of Physical Therapy.

Note: 688.015 and 688.035 were enacted into law by

the Legislative Assembly but were not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 688 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
