Chapter 743A — Health Insurance: Reimbursement of Claims
ORS 743A.018 Services provided by osteopathic physician
As used in this section:
“Health benefit plan” has the meaning given that term in ORS 743B.005.
An insurer that offers a health benefit plan that reimburses the cost of an osteopathic manipulative treatment provided by an osteopathic physician shall reimburse the cost of the evaluation conducted by the osteopathic physician that resulted in the osteopathic manipulative treatment.
An insurer may not deny reimbursement for an osteopathic manipulative treatment or an evaluation described in subsection (2) of this section on the basis that the evaluation is conducted on the same date that the osteopathic manipulative treatment is provided.
