ORS 98.334 Unpaid wages unclaimed by owner

As used in this section, “wages” means wages, commissions, bonuses or reimbursements to which an employee is entitled as an owner, or other compensation for personal services, other than amounts held in a payroll card.

Unpaid wages, including wages represented by unpresented payroll checks, due and owing in the ordinary course of the holder’s business that remain unclaimed by the owner for more than one year after becoming payable are presumed abandoned, notwithstanding the owner’s failure to make demand or to present any instrument or document required to receive payment.

This section does not affect an employee’s right to contest wages under other Oregon law.
