Chapter 221 — Organization and Government of Cities

ORS 221.145 Basing compensation of city officers upon fines prohibited

The amount of compensation for city police officers, municipal judges or other city officers shall not be based upon the amount of revenues collected from fines or any set percentage thereof.

Note: 221.145 was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 221 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
