Chapter 432 — Vital Statistics

ORS 432.995 Obstructing the keeping of vital records or reports; criminal penalty

(1)

A person commits the crime of obstructing the keeping of vital records or reports if the person knowingly and willfully:

(a)

Refuses to provide information required by this chapter or rules adopted under this chapter;

(b)

Transports or accepts for transportation, interment or other disposition a dead body without an accompanying permit as provided in this chapter; or

(c)

Fails to perform in a timely manner any of the provisions of this chapter.

(2)

The provisions of subsection (1)(c) of this section do not apply to the officers or employees of the courts of this state acting in an official capacity.

(3)

Obstructing the keeping of vital records or reports is a Class A misdemeanor.
