ORS 657.630 Quasi-judicial powers in administrative hearings

The Director of the Employment Department may act in the director’s own behalf or by any of the duly authorized agents or assistants of the director in the following:

To hold sessions at any place within the state.

To administer oaths.

To issue and serve by the director’s representative, or by any sheriff, subpoenas for the attendance of witnesses and the production of papers, contracts, books, accounts, documents and testimony. The director may require the attendance and testimony of employers, their officers and representatives before any hearing of the director and the production by employers of books, records, papers and documents without payment or tender of witness fees on account of that attendance.

Generally to provide for the taking of testimony and for the recording of proceedings held in accordance with this chapter.
