ORS 181A.202 Authority of municipal tax collection agency to require fingerprints
For the purpose of requesting a state or nationwide criminal records check under ORS 181A.195, a municipal tax collection agency in a city with a population of 250,000 or more may require the fingerprints of a person who:
Is employed or applying for employment by the city; or
Provides services or seeks to provide services to the city as a contractor or volunteer; and
Is, or will be, working or providing services in a position in which the person will have access to federal tax information.
A municipal tax collection agency in a city with a population of 250,000 or more may enter into a written agreement with the Department of State Police for purposes of conducting criminal records checks under this section. An agreement entered into under this subsection must include terms pertaining to the scope of work and reimbursement of costs.
