ORS 181A.666 Findings
The Legislative Assembly finds that:
(1)
It is in the public interest to have trust and transparency in the hiring of law enforcement officers.
(2)
It is in the public interest to ensure that information relating to allegations of misconduct are not shielded in the employment process, while ensuring due process and a fair chance for police officers accused of misconduct in order to promote the hiring of individuals who represent the highest values of policing.
