ORS 181A.940 Definitions for ORS 181A.940 to 181A.946
As used in ORS 181A.940 to 181A.946:
(1)
“Authorized tribal police officer” means a tribal police officer who is acting:
(a)
In accordance with ORS 181A.940 to 181A.946; and
(b)
While employed by a tribal government that is in compliance with ORS 181A.940 to 181A.946.
(2)
“Tribal government” means a federally recognized sovereign tribal government whose borders lie within this state or an intertribal organization formed by two or more of those governments.
(3)
“Tribal police officer” means an employee of a tribal government whose duties include the enforcement of criminal law.
