Chapter 238 — Public Employees Retirement System

ORS 238.500 Definitions for ORS 238.500 to 238.585

As used in ORS 238.500 to 238.585, unless the context requires otherwise:

(1)

“Court” means the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, the Oregon Tax Court and a circuit court.

(2)

“Judge” means a judge of any court.

(3)

“Judge member” means a judge who is a member of the Public Employees Retirement System subject to ORS 238.500 to 238.585.

(4)

“Service as a judge” means creditable service, as defined by ORS 238.005, by a judge as:

(a)

A regularly elected or appointed judge of a court; or

(b)

A regularly elected or appointed judge of a court temporarily in another court.
