ORS 443.386 Designees of ombudsman; training; contract
The Residential Facilities Ombudsman shall, in consultation with the Long Term Care Ombudsman, appoint designees to serve as representatives of the ombudsman in local communities. The ombudsman shall regularly monitor the functions of designees.
The Residential Facilities Ombudsman shall prescribe the qualifications of designees by rule.
To be appointed as a designee, a person must complete an initial training prescribed by the Residential Facilities Ombudsman by rule and attend required continuing educational training sessions that are approved by the ombudsman.
Designees must sign a contract with the Residential Facilities Ombudsman that outlines the scope of their duties. Violation of the contract is cause for terminating the appointment of a designee.
