Chapter 454 — Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems

ORS 454.115 Authority over disposal systems

(1)

In order to facilitate the abatement, elimination or control of the pollution of waters and streams, any municipality may:

(a)

Construct, reconstruct, improve, extend, repair, equip or acquire disposal systems, within or without the municipality.

(b)

Accept grants or loans or other aid from the United States or any other source.

(c)

Enter into all necessary agreements.

(d)

Issue revenue bonds of the municipality without limitation as to amount.

(2)

The powers conferred by ORS 454.105 to 454.175 are in addition to and supplemental to the powers conferred by any other law and not in substitution for any right, powers or privileges vested in a municipality.
