ORS 646A.316 Warranty claims; payment; time for completion

Unless otherwise agreed:

On a warranty claim, a supplier shall provide reasonable compensation for the retailer’s costs, including but not limited to:

Diagnostic services;

Repair services;

Repair parts; and

Labor.

For labor on warranty service, a supplier may not pay a retailer an hourly rate that is less than the rate that the retailer charges for nonwarranty service.

For repair parts on warranty service, a supplier may not pay a retailer less than the amount that the retailer paid for the parts plus a reasonable allowance for the shipping and handling of the parts.

A supplier must allow a reasonable time for a retailer to complete warranty service.
