ORS 350.278 Disclosure of Social Security number of student attending public university

A public university listed in ORS 352.002 may not disclose the Social Security number of a student who is attending the public university.

Subsection (1) of this section does not apply if the public university discloses the Social Security number:

At the request of a law enforcement agency or an agency providing child support services under ORS 25.080;

After obtaining written permission for the disclosure from the student to whom the number refers;

In the payment of wages or benefits;

In the payment or collection of taxes or of a debt owed by the student to whom the number refers;

For purposes of statistical analysis; or

As otherwise required by law.
